My first chording effort - apologies for errors, etc! Done from listening to the
album version, so no idea if this actually looks like the official version...
Note: the melody starts on a D, while the guitar is playing E minor. This feels
very wrong til you get used to it. I think it sounds better if you sit heavily on
the low end: you really want that underlying E - F - G on the low E string.

Verse 1:
Girl don t tell me that it s morning
()
Can we keep the curtains drawn?
I haven t given you fair warning
But our ship, it sails at dawn
Chorus:
And it s true I must be going, but I swear it won t be long
There isn t that much ocean between Boston and St. Johns
(?)
I m a rover, and I m bound to sail away
(->...)
I m a rover can you love me anyway?
[1x intro passage]
Verse 2:
And if some suitor comes approaching
()
Will you let him through your door?
What if I return half-broken?
Will you still love me any more?
Chorus:
And it s true I must be going, but I swear it won t be long
There isn t that much ocean between Boston and St. Johns
(?)
I m a rover, and I m bound to sail away
(->...)
I m a rover can you love me anyway?
[1x intro passage]
Bridge:
Close your eyes and dream
And tell me what you see
You can tell me what you want
Just tell me that you ll wait for me
...
But oh... Don t tell me that it s morning... [repeat verse 1 & chorus]
[Outro - loop intro and get quieter. Last chord the Em?]
