Well no one seems to be getting the chords on this right, so I might as well try to
fix things. I ve studied a bunch of chord theory, so I think this is just about right.
We get high in backseats of cars
We break into mobile homes
We go to sleep to shake up you
And then wake up on our own
CHORUS
And that s the way we get by to
Way we get by
Aw that s, the way we get by to
Way we get by
We go out in stormy weather
We rarely practice discern
We make love to some with sin
We seek out the taciturn
CHORUS
And that s the way we get by
That s the way we get by
We found a new kinda dance in a magazine
Try it on, it s like nothin you ve ever seen
You sweet talk like a cop, an you know it
You bought a new bag of pot
So let s make a new start
CHORUS
And that s the way we get by
That s the way we get by

We get high in backseats of cars
We put faith in our concerns
Fall in love to down the streak
We believe in the sum of ourselves
And that s the way we get by to
Way we get by
Aw that s the way we get by to
Way we get by
And that s the way we get by to
Way we get by to
Way
And that s the way we get by
That s the way we get by
I rate this tab as a novice tab because all of these chords should be fairly
straightforward. The only chords that might be slightly confusing are Fmaj7
and the chords that have a slash between two letters (i.e. Am/G). A major 7
chord is fairly easy to figure out, you basically take a 7 chord and play the
7th up a half step. And the root chords (Am/G) are about as straightforward as
they get. If you re playing guitar, just play the first chord (Am). If you re
playing piano, play some form of the first chord in your right hand and some
form of the second in your left (octaves and fifths work best). And lastly,
if you re playing bass, play the second chord listed (G).
