This what i came up with from this really good youtube cover.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGrOiIH4zwY
I play the C chord differently, idk know what it's called but it's the G shaped C
haha... if that makes sense... if not whatever, play a normal C.
And for the D, i just play a normal D or sometimes i just play 2nd fret 5th string and
2nd fret 3rd string, with the rest of the strings open.
[Verse 1]
G Em D
Someway, baby, it's part of me, apart from me.
Em C
you're laying waste to Halloween
G Em D
you ed it friend, it's on it's head, it struck the street
Em C
you're in Milwaukee, off your feet
[Chorus]
C Em D
and at once I knew I was not magnificent
C Em D
strayed above the highway aisle
C Em G D
jagged vacance, thick with ice
Em C D G
I could see for miles, miles, miles
[Verse 2]
(same as verse 1)
3rd and Lake it burnt away, the hallway
was where we learned to celebrate
automatic bought the years youâd talk for me
that night you played me ʻLip Paradeʼ
not the needle, nor the thread, the lost decree
saying nothing, thatâs enough for me
[Chorus]
(same as above)
...and at once I knew I was not magnificent
hulled far from the highway aisle
jagged, vacance, thick with ice
I could see for miles, miles, miles
[Verse 3]
(same as verse 1)
Christmas night, it clutched the light, the hallow bright
above my brother, I and tangled spines
we smoked the screen to make it what it was to be
now to know it in my memory:
[Chorus]
(same as above)
...and at once I knew I was not magnificent
high above the highway aisle
jagged vacance, thick with ice
I could see for miles, miles, miles
