I've tried to match my single acoustic guitar to the recording here so please be gentle!
I think I've got a good approximation and simplified the chords for ease of playing.
If youâre happy to freestyle finger style to the rhythms of the recording all the way through this
sounds great and the piano bit seems to be just the same chords â I just freestyle similar arpeggios
to the piano. The strumming pattern below is OK to start you off but you'll quickly get a sense of what
to do with the playing fingers. I donât play either of the E-strings (much).
The challenge for me was the transition from B to B/A# to E/G# - took a bit of practice to get right
but still doesnât sound as good as just a straight E so I play that instead - but Iâve left the E/G# in
below cos that seems to be the consensus!
The F# F# E E can be played as per the TAB below with two quick plucks on each chord making for the
claps on the recording.
The âdown down downâ D#m - D#sus4 is pretty easy, just use the ring finger to rock onto the D string
to bar the 8th fret and move the pinky to B string 9th fret to play the sus4 and then back to play
the D#m then repeat. Then the B to Bsus4 and back is easy but check the timing on the recording.
I suggest listening to the track quite a bit to get each section nailed.
Iâm sure there must be an even easier way of matching the acoustic guitar to the recording so please do
comment/repost.
Hope you enjoy.
