Capo on the 4th fret to match Fastballâs recording. Use chord forms as
noted, rather than starting off in C# as the song is written.
If youâre playing along with the recording, the primary rhythm guitar does
not articulate all the chords in the first two lines of each verse.
Instead, just hang on the âAâ chord while the bass plays out the âGâ
and âDâ. If youâre playing at a campfire you need to play all the chords
in the verse to properly accompany the vocal melody.
For the intro riff (and the riff at the end of each verse) you should
ignore the high âEâ string and catch the key notes on the âBâ string (and
note that for the âGâ chord in this riff you should play the 3rd fret on
the âBâ string, not the high âEâ string â this will create the ring on that
note the riff requires).
